Industrial spray painting services, Yorkshire & UK

With over 20 years’ experience, WRA are industry leaders in industrial spray painting. Serving clients across Yorkshire and further afield, our specialist team are here to offer the highest quality wet spraying services for the optimum results.

Benefits of wet spraying

A versatile process suitable for many applications and materials, and with a wide range of colours and textures, wet spraying can provide an exceptional finish without the need for thick final coats or external curing sources, such as heating.

Where items are too large for curing ovens or are unable to withstand the 400°C required for powder coating, wet spray painting is the perfect alternative.

Our industrial spray paint options

At WRA, we offer wet coating in a range of different paint types. When considering a type of paint, our team will advise you of the best solution based on various criteria e.g. the type of product, its intended application and the type of finish required.

Our industrial spray painting services include wet coating with:

  • Acrylic
  • Polyurethane
  • Epoxy
  • Clear coat lacquers
  • Oil based
  • Water based
  • Synthetic
  • Base coat metallic
  • Pearl metallic
  • Fire-retardant paints
  • Macropoxy paints

We also ensure a suitable primer is applied prior to the finishing coat where necessary, such as:

  • Epoxy
  • Wood
  • Acid etch
  • Plastic
  • Zinc phosphate
  • Acrylic

Fire retardant wet spraying

Available in a selection of colours, or lacquers, our fire retardant spray paint can be applied to a variety of different surfaces to ensure a higher level of safety in your industrial or commercial premises.

Spray painting colour matching

Another key benefit of wet coating is that liquid paints are available in an almost infinite range of colours, mixed on site to your specific requirements. Standard colours can be mixed from the codes provided by most of the recognised colour palette systems, including:

  • British Standard
  • NCS
  • RAL
  • Pantone
  • Dulux
  • Farrow and Ball

As well as standard colours, we can match a colour to any existing paint sample, allowing us to wet spray any item to match your existing products.

Suitable materials for wet coating

Wet coating can be used on a much wider variety of materials than other types of finishes.

Materials don’t have to be electrically conductive or heated to use industrial spray painting methods so it’s sometimes the only suitable option available for an attractive and hard-wearing finish.

Types of material we can treat with wet coatings include:

  • Steel and stainless steel
  • Aluminium, including cast aluminium
  • Timber e.g. MDF, plywood, softwood & hardwood
  • Foam products such as Foamex and Signrock
  • Plastics, acrylics and perspex
  • Resin and fibreglass
  • Glass
  • Polished brass
  • Cast iron
  • Dibond
  • 3D print material
